Review 1 – Student 1
My first playtester said that he enjoyed the random nature of the game and that it ensures playability as the player won’t get bored quickly. He also enjoyed the slight comedic aspect to the game (E.g: Dancing Theresa May game tile). Another piece of feedback was that the board game was laid out well and easy to follow, that the player can learn it without reading the rules.
My Thoughts: This was a good piece of feedback, after reading this I’d like to add more comedic aspects to my game at a later stage, I’d also like to make the layout better so that no reading is needed (unless wanted to), this would mean adding icons instead of words onto the game tiles.
Review 2 – Student 2
My second playtester said that he didn’t see many issues with my board game, he offered some constructive criticism which was that depending on the player’s roll, the game may end too quickly.
My Thoughts: I value the constructive criticism that he offered, whenever I’m on a later stage, I will try to find a way to combat the quick pace of the game, maybe by adding more negative tiles on the board.
Review 3 – Student 3
My final reviewer said that the game was well thought out and simple to understand. She said that the game was enjoyable to play, the only criticism is that it would be nice to have more variety with the tile options/rules.
My Thoughts: This piece of feedback solidifies that I need more variety within the game, in a future stage I’d like to add more comedic tiles, maybe some with negative connotations to make the gameplay more interesting.
