Project – Create a Brexit Themed Game (Stage 1)

Introduction

For our project, we have to design a paper-based game on the theme of Brexit. For the first stage of creating our prototype, we had to create a simple paper-based game on one sheet of paper. There had to be a clear goal, a degree of difficulty and it had to be one player.

This is the first prototype of my board game, I feel that it is a good starting point for it and has a few good ideas which I might be able to expand on in later stages.

Game Items Explained & How to Win

Game Items Explained

• Star – Gain 1 Star
• Food Shortage – Miss a Turn
• Riot – Loop Around
• Border Issues – Lose 1 Star (Or for 2 players, steal the opponent’s star)
• Dancing Theresa May – Take Another Dice Roll

How to Win – Get 6 stars to reunite Britain and Europe, if you don’t have 6 stars by the end, you must go back to the start of the board game.
